Description:Butterfly pea, Clitoria ternatea , is a member of the bean family. Used extensively in SE Asia as a food colorant in drinks, deserts and some food dishes. It is touted worldwide as a natural dye or food colorant.
We have been selecting and breeding butterfly pea to get more petal to whole flower ratio, greatly increasing the value per gram of blue petals. Our flowers are of rich dark blue color which can turn liquids an array of blues and purples depending on the preparations. We intend to introduce our lavender and light blue varieties in the future as well.
